BITs 2nd annual world congress of microbes 2012 (July 30-August 1,2012) held in Guangzhou,China. Supported by Guangzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Information Research Center of International Talent, Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of Guangzhou Province and China Medicinal Biotech Association (CMBA), P.R. China. The congress obtained focus and extensive attention around the globe.
As the keynote speakers, Dr. Ilan Chet, Professor, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel; Dr. John Donald Tamerius, Senior Vice President, Quidel Corporation, USA; Dr. Kurt Jarnagin,Vice President of Biological Research, Anacor Pharmaceuticals Inc, USA; Dr. Anthony Michael Man, CEO, Basilea Pharmaceutica International Ltd., Switzerland and Dr. David Charles Warhurst, Professor, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK made excellent presentations and held discussions with the audiences at keynote forum.
300 participants from more than 53 countries attended the WCM-2012. Participants including academicians, industrial professionals and key-decision makers presented the new achievements on their respective fields, followed by with discussions and analysis to the development of microbes. Meanwhile, Biomedical High-level Overseas Professionals Exchange and Project Matchmaking Fair, operated by Guangzhou Foreign Experts Bureau, BIT Congress Inc. and Chinajob.com was an efficient matchmaking fair for international participants to communicate with the delegates from local research institutes, industrial decision makers and organizational leaders. There were 58 exhibitors from home and abroad showing their productions which had become a major attraction during the conference. Through this kind of 1-to-1 discussion, the potential collaboration can be bridged between foreign experts and Chinese Professionals in the Field of microbiology.
