On behalf of the organizing committee, it is a great honor to invite you to attend the 3rd World Congress of Gene taking place in Foshan during December 1-7, 2009, with a theme of "March into New Era of Bio-economy".
WCG has grown substantially since 2005, from a brand new conference with a strong vision, to the WCG of today, firmly established as the premier international forum for research in all areas of life sciences and biotechnology. WCG-2009 is a specially designed cluster conference, which covers a wide range of critically important themes from basic science to commercialization. It aims to become one of the region’s largest events of 2009. WCG-2009 provides a great opportunity to share in what has happened, be part of what is happening and influence the future direction in one of the fastest growing industry sectors.

Together with the Scientific Advisory Board , they undertook the difficult job of carefully evaluating the large number of submitted papers, considering the merits of each through detailed reviews and discussions, and selecting a technical program of the highest quality. The program of the coming 3rd conference promises to be very interesting for both basic scientists and executives who are working in the field of gene science and technology and other related areas, they will offer complete updates of recent developments and present the latest results under 18 remarkable separate meetings.

Foshan, the South Gate of China, is a prosperous metropolis full of vigor. The main development programs in Foshan are Bioindustry, especially Gene Science. Nowadays, there are many professional industry bases around the city, like "Foshan Science City", "Foshan Bio-island", "Genomic port", "Baiyun Industrial Cluster of Bio-Tech", "National Bioindustry base in Zhujiang River Delta" etc.
