It is a great pleasure to invite you to participate in BIT’s 1st Annual World Congress of EndoBolism which will be held in Xiamen, China from January25-27, 2011. It is an event dedicated to the work of endocrinology and metabolism professionals from around the world. The theme of this great congress will be “Revealing a New World from Cells to Glands.”

This innovative conference will gather leading scientists to exchange ideas and to enjoy professional networking opportunities. An international audience of researchers and clinicians from the fields of diabetes, endocrinology and metabolism as well as technology developers and general and family medicine practitioners will attend. There will be many presentations given by renowned professionals in these fields.

Endocrinology diseases have been receiving increased recognition globally for their severe impacts. One of the challenges facing the practice of endocrinology in China and other parts of the world is the diabetes epidemic and its clinical treatment. During the conference a number of distinguished speakers will join us to discuss the most recent advances in the field of diabetes and endocrinology, and to share their experience and knowledge. The conference will also offer an exciting program covering a wide array of topics in endocrinology and metabolism presented through a keynote forum, interactive sessions, state of the art lectures, extended talks, poster sessions, and the exhibition and industry showcase.

Located on the southeast coast of China, Xiamen is a tourist city in the Fujian Province famous for its attractive seascape. It has been a major seaport since ancient times because of its wide, deep gulf that does not freeze or silt. It was given the name Xiamen which means “gate of China” because of this. Xiamen has also been called Egret Island due to the hundreds of thousands of egrets that inhabit it. This is due to the beautiful scenery, fresh air, and clean environment of the city.
