Introduction of WCCAS-2012

The Annual World Congress of Catalytic Asymmetric Synthesis (WCCAS) is a focused event on Catalytic Asymmetric Synthesis, it aims to stimulate interactions among academia, industry and researchers in this field; to exchange up-to-the-minutes information and promote their novel technologies. WCCAS is expected to greatly contribute to the promotion of new concepts for the development of efficient methodologies for catalytic asymmetric synthesis and its practical applications. The topics will reflect this general theme, placing emphasis on aspects that are common to all areas of catalytic asymmetric synthesis and the type of reaction involved.

      Highlights of the Conference
Organize up to 150+ Oral Presentations on the Latest Tech Trend of Catalytic Asymmetric Synthesis Development
Bring together 50+ Project Posters on New Technologies Implemented in Industrial Manufacturing
Network with 300+ Colleagues and Friends in China and Beyond
Meet with 50+ Leading Suppliers from all over the World

      Event Report

On May 12-14, 2012, BIT's 3rd Annual World Congress of Catalytic Asymmetric Synthesis-2012 was held successfully in Beijing, China.

As the keynote speakers, Dr. Nathan Yee, Director, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals., Inc., USA; Dr. Scott R. Gilbertson, Professor, University of Houston, USA; Dr. Paul R. Hanson, Professor, University of Kansas, USA; Dr. Takeo Kawabata, Professor, Kyoto University, Japan made excellent presentations and warmly discussed with the audiences at keynote forum.

Totally, there were more than 60 participants from more than 19 countries and areas have attended the WCCAS-2012. Participants from academic, industrial professionals and key-decision makers delivered the new achievement on their research, together discussed and analysis the development. The separate session covered Chiral Technologies & Materials; Novel Chiral Ligand Design and Development; New Chiral Organometallic Catalysts; Practical Asymmetric Organocatalysis; Asymmetric Biocatalysis and Enzymatic Reactions; Catalytic Asymmetric Reactions for Fine Chemicals and Reagents; Applications in Biotech and Pharmaceuticals; Applications for Promising Typical Chiral Natural Products…

WCCAS-2012 greatly contributed to the promotion of new concepts for the development of efficient methodologies for catalytic asymmetric synthesis and its practical applications. The topics reflected and placed emphasis on aspects that are common to all areas of catalytic asymmetric synthesis.

Depending on the warmly support and good suggestions from all of the participants, we are confident in organizing WCCAS-2013 which would be better and more successful than WCCAS-2012.
