Introduction of WCCAS-2011

The Annual World Congress of Catalytic Asymmetric Synthesis (WCCAS) is a focused event on Catalytic Asymmetric Synthesis, it aims to stimulate interactions among academia, industry and researchers in this field; to exchange up-to-the-minutes information and promote their novel technologies. WCCAS is expected to greatly contribute to the promotion of new concepts for the development of efficient methodologies for catalytic asymmetric synthesis and its practical applications. The topics will reflect this general theme, placing emphasis on aspects that are common to all areas of catalytic asymmetric synthesis and the type of reaction involved.

      Highlights of the Conference
Organize up to 150+ Oral Presentations on the Latest Tech Trend of Catalytic Asymmetric      Synthesis Development
Bring together 50+ Project Posters on New Technologies Implemented in Industrial Manufacturing
Network with 300+ Colleagues and Friends in China and Beyond
Meet with 50+ Leading Suppliers from all over the World

      Event Report

On August 9-11, 2011, BIT's 2nd Annual World Congress of Catalytic Asymmetric Synthesis-2011 was held successfully in Beijing, China.

As the keynote speakers, Dr. Iwao Ojima, Distinguished Professor, Stony Brook University, USA; Dr. P. Andrew. Evans, Professor, University of Liverpool, UK; Dr. Mark Lautens, Professor, University of Toronto, Canada; Dr. Leonard R. MacGillivray, Professor, University of Iowa, USA made excellent presentations and warmly discussed with the audiences at keynote forum.

Totally, there were more than 150 participants from more than 28 countries and areas have attended the WCCAS-2011. Participants from academic, industrial professionals and key-decision makers delivered the new achievement on their research, together discussed and analysis the development. The separate session covered Novel Technologies for Catalytic Asymmetric Synthesis ; Organometallic Chiral Catalysts in Asymmetric Transformations; Enantioselective/ Diastereoselective Organocatalysis ; Applications of Catalytic Asymmetric Synthesis; Biocatalysis for Asymmetric Transformations…

WCCAS-2011 greatly contributed to the promotion of new concepts for the development of efficient methodologies for catalytic asymmetric synthesis and its practical applications. The topics reflected and placed emphasis on aspects that are common to all areas of catalytic asymmetric synthesis.

Depending on the warmly support and good suggestions from all of the participants, we are confident in organizing WCCAS-2012 which would be better and more successful than WCCAS-2011.
