On behalf of the organizing committee, it is a great honor to welcome you to attend the Inaugural Symposium on Enzymes & Biocatalysis-2010 (SEB-2010), which will be held during April 22-24, 2010 in Shanghai, China.

The mission of this symposium is to bring together professionals and those who are interested in enzyme & biocatalysts technology to share the recent developments and future trends in the fields of basic researches and applications of enzymes in industry, analysis and medicine. As the demand for Enzymes has grown at a fast pace in the past decade, both production and demand will continue to grow in the next few years. This focused event pays tribute to the growing significance of technologies for Enzyme and Biocatalysis, we cordially welcome you to join us and witness the advances in this field together.

With support and encouragement we have got from our past participants of World Congress of Industrial Biotechnology, we have decided to initiate a special symposium on Enzyme and Biocatalysis, which covers a wide range of critically important themes from basic science to commercialization. SEB-2010 is designed to build up a sustainable platform for exchanging up-to the minute upstream and downstream achievements, industrial needs and research opportunities of Enzyme and Biocatalysis fields in Asia Pacific Rim, it will provide a great opportunity to share in what has happened, be part of what is happening and influence the future direction in one of the fastest growing industry sectors.

Shanghai is the industrial, financial, commercial center and the largest and most prosperous city in China. It is one of the national leading scientific research flagships, which is fueled with fascinating talent pool, embracing with by the stimulating and dynamic business environment. Meanwhile, Shanghai is full of modern culture and arts, as it was, named after the "Pearl of China", and will ever be the wonderland for all the explorers worldwide.
