  Welcome Message

Dear Friends and Colleges,
BIT Life Sciences is proud to announce that PepCon-2010 will be held during March 21-23, 2010 in Beijing, China. This international event will focus on the cutting edge peptide and protein researches with the theme of After a Solution for the Machines of Life. On behalf of the organizing committee, we cordially invite you to attend our conference and bring your most updated information to exchange exciting ideas and new achievements during the conference.

This conference will feature an outstanding experience both scientifically and socially. Also, the oriental culture makes Beijing a fascinating and pleasant place to congregate with old colleagues and new friends to share the most important aspects of many exciting and rapid advances in peptide and protein researches. PepCon-2010 will cover the basic protein science, proteins and diseases enable protein technologies such as human proteome technologies and cancer research, protein kinases as targets of small molecule drug discovery, protein biomarkers, protein analysis and quality control, protein engineering and production, and proteins as drugs-non-Antibody and non-vaccine protein therapeutics. The conference will take the form of presentations, workshops, round table conferences, exhibitions and posters. It is our hope to provide an alternative exciting event in Asia Pacific Rim that updates the current trend and business model for the peptide and protein professionals. A crucial aspect of our never ending endeavors is to find solutions to difficult scientific problems, and our ultimate goal is to support translation of scientific discovery into application or therapeutics.

PepCon-2010 is a dedicated event following the success of the 1st PepCon-2008 in Shenzhen, China and the 2nd PepCon-2009 in Seoul, South Korea, it has become an influential conference for Protein/Peptide Professionals accessing to latest breakthroughs and frontiers in Protein/Peptide Sciences and Technology along with the potential business opportunities. Through PepCon events, totally 400+ renowned speakers published their visualized achievements and share their excitement, passion, creativity and innovation by networking with 2000 people in protein and peptide society. The plenary speakers included Dr. Harold A. Scheraga, eminent leader in protein folding; Dr. Marc Wilkins, who has defined the concept of the proteome and coined the term; Dr. Young-Ki Paik, President of HUPO, South Korea; Dr. Jong Shin Yoo, President of AOHUPO, South Korea; Dr. Gregg B. Fields, Professor, University of Texas Health Science Center, President Elect of American Peptide Society (APS), USA; Dr. David K. Robinson, Vice President, Bioprocess R&D, Merck Research Laboratories, Merck & Co., Inc., USA and Dr. Thomas Li, Head of Asia Pacific Technology Management, Roche Diagnostics Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., USA.

In addition, this major international event will be held in Beijing, a mega-modern and appealingly ancient city. After the conference, you are welcomed to join the Tech tour in Beijing and Xi’ an to experience the traditional Chinese culture, find the fascination of terra-cotta figures and enjoy the delicious food in China.

Please feel free to contact me if you need further information. We look forward to having you to be part of the must-attend event in protein and peptide sciences in 2010.

Sincerely yours,

Xiaodan Mei, Ph.D.
Executive Chair of PepCon-2010
