Conference Report
NanoMedicine-2010

BIT’s 1st Annual World Congress of NanoMedicine was successfully held on October 23-25, in Beijing International Convention Center, China. The theme of Conference is "Integrative Nanotechnology for Biomedicine". Around 500 participants from more than 30 countries and regions attended the 3 days conference this time.

Mr. Xiaodan Mei, President of BIT Life Sciences delivered the welcome remark at the opening ceremony. Dr. Thomas Ming Swi Chang, Director, McGill University, Canada; Dr. King C. Lee, Vice President, Cornerstone Pharmaceuticals, USA; Dr. Hans Hofstraat, Vice President, Philips Research, The Netherlands gave wonderful oral presentations at the keynote forum.

The conference was made up by 3 parts: The first part is the Keynote Forum, the second part is parallel scientific and technological sessions and the third part is exhibition and poster showcase. Regarding the second part, we designed more than 45 sessions. The topics were from Nanosciences, Nanobiotechnology, Nanopharmaceuticals, IT, Instrumentation and Equipment in Nanomedicine, Milestones of Applied Nano-medical Technologies, Breaking Research of Novel Engineering Systems in Nanomedicine, Advances in Nanomedicine and Regulatory, Ethic Issues and Business Outlook in Nanomedicine. It provided an alternative exciting event in Asia Pacific Rim that updates the current trend and business model for the nanomedicine professionals.

After the conference, many attendees express that they liked the rich content of the congress and had an unforgettable memory in Beijing. Depending on the warmly support and good suggestions from all of the participants, we are quite confident in organizing NanoMedicine-2011 which would be better and more successful than NanoMedicine-2010. All of us are looking forward to meeting you again in 2011.
