| ★ Introduction of MolMed-2010 |
|
Molecular medicine has provided unprecedented interdisciplinary approaches for a better understanding of molecular mechanisms of disease and translates into better approaches to prevention, diagnosis, and therapy, which embraces all aspects of human biology and pathophysiology. This congress will cover recent progress and precision in three parallel Conferences and Exposition in the areas of Molecular Diagnostics, Biomarkers and Personalized Medicine. The dynamic programs will allow our colleagues to catch current progresses in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of human diseases along with the trends of the global business development in the areas. |

BIT's 3rd Annual Congress and Expo of Molecular Diagnostics (CEMD-2010) was an important component of Molmed-2010.On November 10-12, 2010, BIT's 1st Annual Tetra-Congress of MolMed-2010 (MolMed-2010) with a theme of "From Molecular Structure to Functions” was held successfully in Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center, Shanghai, China. during November 10-12, 2010. The conference was supported by China Medicinal Biotech Association (CMBA), P.R. China. This year’s congress has obtained highly focus and extensive attentions throughout the world. Honorable leaders and distinguished guests worldwide have come all the way to attend this congress. The conference consists of 30 sessions which are under 11 tracks including Breaking Research and Technology on Molecular Diagnostics (MDx), Molecular Diagnostics on Cancers, Non-Cancer Molecular Diagnostics, Basic Research in Personalized Medicine, Biomarkers, Molecular Diagnostics & Personalized Medicine, Personalized Medicine Implantation in Therapy, Disease Biomarkers and Healthcare, Molecular Biomarker Quantification and Assay, Recent Research Breaking in Classified Biomarkers, Platform Technology Landscape in Biomarker Discovery. Scientists, industrial professionals and key-decision makers delivered the new achievement on their research, together discussed and analyzed the development of molecular diagnostics research. The conference provides an excellent platform for promoting the communications of colleagues and collaborations of partners from the upstream to the downstream of molecular diagnostics research. There were in excess of 300 registrants from 30 countries, 7 exhibitors, 20 professional media altogether. Most of them registered for this congress as a group.
The participants of the conference had a good chance to hear from the renowned keynote speakers Dr. Reiner Babiel, Vice President, Diagnostic Sequencing, Roche Diagnostics GmbH, Germany; Dr. Craig Lehmann, Professor, Stony Brook University, USA; Dr. Thomas Krahn, Head, Global Biomarker Research, Bayer Schering Pharma AG, Germany; Dr. Ramesh Ramakrishnan, Director, Fluidigm Corp., USA; Dr. Ramesh Ramakrishnan, Director, Fluidigm Corp., USA; Wietse Mulder, Managing Director, Genome Diagnostics BV, The Netherland; Dinah Weissmann, CEO and Chairman, Biocortech, France.
Most participants gave a high appraisal to Molmed-2010. According to the investigations after the conference, over 80% participants expressed that they would like to attend Molmed-2011. Depending on the warmly support and good suggestions from all of the participants, we are confident in organizing Molmed-2011 which would be better and more successful than Molmed-2010.
