Opening Ceremony (May 13, 2004)

  Zhibin Song, vice-mayor of Dalian, made a speech at the ceremony.He said that, not only would this forum provide Dalian the opportunity to contact with the top scientists "zero distance", but also would help stimulate the development of medical science in China and the extensive exchange among Chinese and foreign scientists specialized in life sciences and IT.  
    Over 200 scientists and 30 media attended the ceremony.
               
   
Bao Jie, a famous anchor of CCTV (Beijing), hosted the ceremony.
 
      Before the ceremony, vice-mayor Song met with the WHTS delegation in Dalian Shangri-la Hotel.
         
               
   
 
  Dr.Kurt Wuthrich made a speech. He expressed how deeply he had been impressed by the development of Dalian during the visit.    
Dr. Xiaodan Mei, President of WHTS, welcomed the guests to the 3rd Annual Spring Forum.

Forum (May 14-15, 2004)

Liangzhong Xing, Vice-mayor of Dalian, made a speech at the Forum.    
Over 500 scientists attended the 3rd Annual Life Spring Forum.
