On December 5-7, the 1st International Congress of Cardiology (ICC-2009) was held successfully in Shanghai, China. During the Opening Ceremony, Dr. Xiaodan Mei, the Executive Chairman of this event delivered the opening remarks to welcome all our participants.
There were about 200 delegates from over 30 countries attended the opening ceremony of ICC-2009. World famous experts share their research in the keynote forum. With a theme of "Combating Heart Diseases", the conference consists of 33 sessions which are under 6 tracks including Basic Research of Cardiology, Major Heart Diseases and Clinical Update, Modern Cardiovascular Drug Discovery and Development, Interventional Cardiology and Translational Research, Cardiovascular Diagnostics, Therapeutics and Clinical Management and Cardiac Prevention, Nursing and Risk Management. Scientists, industrial professionals and key-decision makers delivered the new achievement on their research, together discussed and analyzed the development of molecular diagnostics research. Professionals of clinical laboratory department from the hospitals in China visited the exhibition and listened to the presentations. The conference provides an excellent platform for promoting the communications of colleagues and collaborations of partners from the upstream to the downstream of the research of combating heart diseases.
On the evening of December 5, a welcome banquet was held atShanghai Everbright International Hotel.The Organizing Committee prepared kinds of wonderful and characteristic performances. During the banquet, a chirographer wrote blessings to all the honorable guests on-site.
After the main conference, nearly fifteenth participants enjoyed the tech-tour in the beautiful cities of Suzhou and Hangzhou. At the same time promoted intellectual exchanges and collaborations under a kind of cheerful atmosphere along the trip.
After talking with some experts after their speeches, we honorably receive a lot of blessing and priceless advice. Nearly 70% participants expressed that they would like to attend ICC-2010. Depending on the warmly support and good suggestions from all of the participants, we are confident in organizing ICC -2010 which we believe would be better and more successful than ICC -2009.
