BIT’s 1st Annual World Congress of Hematology (AISH-2012), successfully held in Beijing International Convention Center on June 15-17, 2012. With Concurrent Conferences: BIT's 2nd Annual World Congress of Endobolism 2012 and BIT's 1st Annual World Congress of Diabetes 2012, totally, there were nearly 60 participants from more than 18 countries and areas have attended the AISH-2012.
As the keynote speakers, Dr. Thomas Ming Swi Chang, Professor and Director, Artificial Cells & Organs Research Centre, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University, Canada; Dr. Gosta Gahrton, Professor, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden and Dr. Baisong Mei, Director, Cell Biology and Process Development, Biogen Idec Hemophilia, USA made excellent presentations and warmly discussed with the audiences at keynote forum.
With the mission to initiate a sustainable platform for exchanging up-to-the-minute upstream and downstream achievements, industrial needs and research opportunities of industrial biotechnology fields in Asia Pacific Rim, participants from academic, industrial professionals and key-decision makers delivered the new achievement on their research, together discussed and analyzed the development of Hematology. The conference has promoted the communication of colleagues and collaboration of partners from the upstream to the downstream of Hematology.
Depending on the warmly support and good suggestions from all of the participants, we are confident in organizing AISH-2013 which would be better and more successful than AISH-2012.

The Initiation of AISH 2012 will provide a new magnificent meeting platform for hematologists coming around the world to discuss dynamic and breaking R & D toward industrialization from molecules to market so to quest for potential solutions to the challenging issues by reporting the latest research trend, emerging therapies and novel tools available in this important and constantly involving field, i.e. modern Hematology.
