On May 16th, 2011, 18 sub-councils of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade formed an alliance in support of Dalian, China as aninternational conference destination.
The purpose of the alliance is to promote the development of local conference industries and economies by integrating the council’s close relationships with local governments and enterprises. The council works to combine the industrial advantages and strategic trends of local cities with the planning, organizing and operating experience of professional conference production companies. The alliance aims to assist every member in developing local conference industries through the integration of national and local resources in order to encourage mutual development and cooperation.

The establishment of the alliance indicates that the international conference industry in China is still developing rapidly and maturing gradually.
